Evening in Kyoto
Housen: A Well-Known Cantonese Restaurant in Kyoto
After that, I returned to Kyoto Station, enjoyed shopping at Isetan and Takashimaya, and then headed to dinner.
My afternoon included shopping before dinner.
I headed to Housen, a well-known Cantonese restaurant in Kyoto.

I hadn't made a reservation, but because I lined up at opening, I was able to get in on the first seating.
The food had the gentle flavors characteristic of Kyoto-style Chinese cuisine, and I was very satisfied. Because I had eaten lunch late, I couldn't order many dishes, but the lo mein (shrimp and chicken soba) was especially delicious.
