Our final stop was Entoku-in, where Kita-no-Mandokoro Nene, Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s wife, is said to have spent her later years. (It’s very close by.)
The dry landscape garden in the South Garden was lit up as well.
Entoku-in’s most famous garden is this one, the “North Garden.” One of its defining features is the abundance of large stones. It has an impressively bold atmosphere.
