Into Hakata at Night
But what I really wanted to see was Canal City Hakata!
I headed back to Canal City Hakata. It’s an easy walk from Hakata Station, and after eating so much yakiniku, it felt like just the right amount of exercise. This time I went in from the new building side. It had quite a different atmosphere from the main Canal City building.
And this time I was able to properly catch the nighttime fountain show at last (lol). The song, amazingly, was “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast.
That brought the fun first day of the trip to an end. I took the subway to Tenjin Station and headed to my hotel, Nishitetsu Grand Hotel. The facilities were a little old, but it was clean and comfortable.
