If You’re Already Here, Don’t Miss This Too: Kanzeon-ji Temple

Temple Grounds Steeped in History

After visiting Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, I stopped by Kanzeon-ji Temple. It had a completely different atmosphere from the shrine—there were only a few people around, and it felt like a quiet space filled with history.

The Treasure Hall Was Absolutely Incredible

This temple has an impressive facility called the Treasure Hall, and I went in to look around. The building is designed in the style of the Shosoin.

Photography is not allowed inside, so I can only describe it in words, but the hall houses several magnificent Buddhist statues, and it was truly worth seeing.

If you visit Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, I highly recommend making the trip here as well.

When I stepped inside the Treasure Hall, I couldn’t help letting out a gasp.
