Staying at JW Marriott Hotel Nara
Christmas Decor Around the Hotel
I stayed at JW Marriott Hotel Nara during my time in Nara. This was my second stay here.
The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with festive touches all around. I found myself wondering whether the gingerbread decorations were actually edible.

Even the griffin, the symbol of JW Marriott, was dressed in a Santa-style outfit.

The silver-tinsel decoration in front of the elevators had a slightly handmade feel and gave off a rather unusual atmosphere, haha.

The children, though, were delighted to touch it.
Calm, Beautiful Guest Room
The room was especially appealing for its calm, tasteful interior.

The sink area was not especially spacious, but the layout allowed access from two sides, which was convenient.

Another nice feature was the bathroom, which came with a separate washing area.

The toilet was also in its own separate room, which made the space very easy to use.

Heading to the Executive Lounge
Since I had lounge access as a perk, I stopped by during cocktail hour.
Because I had dinner plans afterward, I hardly touched the food, but I did enjoy a light drink and a few snacks.
The finger sandwich with chicken liver mousse and persimmon marmellata (jam) was especially delicious.

Out to Dinner, Then Back to the Hotel Bar
Back at the Hotel for a Drink at the Bar
After returning to the hotel, I had a drink at the bar. The bar counter in this hotel faces the entire lobby, so at night, the seating around the lobby is also used as bar seating.
I liked how open and relaxing it felt. Since I was in Nara, I ordered a cocktail made with persimmon.

Breakfast Was a Buffet
My Favorite: Bread Pudding
I had breakfast at one of the hotel's restaurants.
The dining area was fairly crowded because it was not very large, but I still enjoyed it plenty.
Not just at this hotel, but I really love the bread pudding that appears at buffets, and I made sure to enjoy it on this stay as well.

To be continued…
