To Kobe and Sannomiya
Walking Around Sannomiya
After leaving the museum, I head back into Kobe. Looming ahead is the newly rebuilt Kobe-Sannomiya Hankyu Building. It has that wraparound-building style.

After a short walk, I make my way to Ikuta Shrine. It’s bustling with people and has a long, distinguished history.

I climb one of Kobe’s slopes and stop by Kitano Kobo no Machi as well. The facility makes use of the former Kobe Municipal Kitano Elementary School, which had been closed down. (That said, I didn’t really have any particular reason to check out the shops inside…)

With check-in time getting close, I head for the hotel.
I keep walking, passing by Former Foreign Settlement Building No. 38 (the former Citibank Kobe Branch) out of the corner of my eye.
