A Clear Morning and Departure from Huis Ten Bosch

Breakfast at AURA, the Vegetable Factory Restaurant

Good morning. The crisp morning air and the mysterious sky at Huis Ten Bosch were beautiful.

I had breakfast at AURA, the restaurant attached to Henn na Hotel. At AURA,

they grow lettuce using factory-like machines

and you can actually eat it there.

For a breakfast buffet, there were a lot of fairly plain dishes, but they were decent enough. Considering the price, though, I’m not so sure…

I went back to my room, packed my bags, and checked out of Huis Ten Bosch. I was heading back to Hakata.

The rain and wind from the day before were nowhere to be seen, and a beautiful blue sky stretched over Huis Ten Bosch.

On the way to the station, I stopped by Hotel Okura and spent some time looking out over the canal.

This is the villa area called Wassenaar

—is this really Japan??

The view of Hotel Okura from the Huis Ten Bosch Station side was absolutely stunning.
