Nara’s Famous Yomogi Mochi
As I was walking back toward the hotel, I came across Nakatanidou, a shop known for Nara’s famous yomogi mochi.
I couldn’t resist my touristy impulse, so I thought, “I just had plenty of dessert, and dinner is supposed to be pretty substantial, so I’ll just get one to go and have it in my room as a late-night dessert…” and ordered one, but…
Nope—this was absolutely the kind of thing you have to eat on the spot, lol.
So, of course, I ate it right there (haha). It was soft, fluffy, and absolutely delicious.
